Results for Milton during the past decade first as State Rep. and now as State Senator for Milton

Dear Friend,
With your support I will be re-elected to the State Senate on September 1st.
Since 2017, I have had the honor of serving full-time as a State Legislator for Milton.
Together, we have been able to accomplish a great deal for our community. I have never missed a vote and I go to work everyday to deliver for Milton. Below contains details regarding what we’ve secured during the past decade -- working with colleagues to do so every step of the way.
Results for Milton:
Randolph Ave/Route 28 road diet pilot & redesign
When tragedy struck yet again last summer along Randolph Ave/RT28 Bill pushed MassDOT to stop studying the stretch of road on paper and physically implement a road diet with two travel lanes instead of four. The corridor is now safer than ever and tweaks continue to be made to improve flow and impacts to local traffic.

$250,000 for Tucker School Playground Project
After being approached by members of the PTO, Bill committed to earmarking $100,000 in the state budget and then when he saw an opportunity to do even more he worked with his legislative colleagues in the House and Senate to bring home $250,000 for the project.

Secured $127M commitment for renovation of the Mattapan Trolley Line from the MBTA
Over the next five years, stations and infrastructure along the Mattapan Line will be modernized.
To date, $127 million has been committed to the program, including funding to refurbish PCC trolleys to maintain reliable service until they are replaced.
Design work is ongoing, alongside efforts to address near-term rider needs. In-progress and completed work includes station access and improvements, track upgrades, and lighting improvements.

A New Manning Park on the East Milton Deck
Bill secured millions for the Renovation of Manning Park/East Milton Deck as a State Rep. and when construction progress stalled Bill brought stake holders together to push MassDOT and the contractor to get the project moving forward to completion.

Forbes Barn Restoration
Bill has secured $95,000 in budget earmarks for restoration of historic barn at Forbes House for the museum to play host to future community events and gatherings. As Rep and Senator, Bill has sent letters of support to Mass Cultural Council and various other State and Federal funding opportunites in support of the Forbes House's effort to secure enough to restore the barn.

Safer, flashing-beacon crossing at RT138 and Oak St. for Tucker School families’ route to school

More Results for Milton & Blue Hills Region:

Secured safer pedestrian crossings on RT138 (pictured below) & and on RT28 too.
